This is my chocolate plate that I made for my fundraiser; let's see what I can come up with next.

Today is Saturday which is very exciting for me not because I have anything going on but for the fact I don't! This last week or more like two have been crazy busy to say the least so I kept saying I just need to make it until Saturday. Now I can say I survived. There was a kids consignment sale that I had to get ready for, which I have never done one. I had no idea what I was getting myself into; I had so much stuff buried into my crawl space that it was taking forever to mark. Then they want you to have hangers and pin the tags on a certain way, I could just go on and on. Sounds so silly to everyone who has done it but for me it was quite overwhelming. I had to pull an all niter the last night. Let's just see how much money I will make before I can say if it was all worth it or not.
Then Thursday had to start on my next project which was my fundraiser chocolates. What was I thinking again. I was having some friends over for Bunco a night (dice game) on Friday and thought I could toss in a little fundraiser event. I made a plate of all different pretzels, truffles, strawberries, and cakes. I will post a pictures since I'm impressed that I did them myself since I have no creativity in me at all. I walked into Michael's craft store and just stood at the front wondering where do I begin. Seriously, I'm clueless! So coming up with this I must say, "Not bad". Now again I will say how happy I am that it is Saturday and hope you can understand why.

North Carolina snow.......in February!

Laurie's birthday - See how the candles are mostly on one side, that is a cake made with love. Nic must have been really wishing for something; I wasn't even ready.

All of us were at a park and Nic was so proud that he finally can do the monkey bars. I had to post the picture per his request.

They didn't have parks like this back in my day; what happened to the original slide?

I said this year I was going to slow things down and not really sure if I can say that it's been a slow start to the year. Jack started this new job which is great but keeping him very busy so I feel like I'm back to the Pennslyvania schedule. At least Cassidy is older and in preschool so I have breaks which helps but my breaks unfortunately are not on the couch. There our always things to do on the "To Do" list; when does that list get done? Nic started baseball yesterday so practice is Thursday and Saturdays but thought Boy Scouts would have ended by now to replace each other. I guess Boy Scouts is still on for another few months, now I just added on functions Tue, Thur, Sat. for him along with the horrible homework at night. What was I thinking! The homework wouldn't be so bad if he would just do it rather then complain which takes more time. When he finally finishes I could really check out of mommy duty from the battling....yes it's that painful for me. Cassidy has her dance class on Tuesday nights which is going well or as well as class can go for a 3 year old. Not sure how or where the time goes through the day but it goes and again I'm determined to find that slow mode button so I can push it at some point this year.

Finally Nic's first tooth came out but then he swallowed it! That was a tricky one for the Tooth Fairy.
Cassidy had to dress up for Pirate Day at her Preschool. That's the best picture I could get with such little time in the morning.

This is when Nic got home from his Boy Scout Pine Wood Derby Race, he was proud.

Believe it or not this picture was taken shortly after the New Years countdown. Our kids really don't get tired, aren't we blessed.

Last but not least we made my sister famous sugar cookies in her honor Christmas Eve. Notice how Jack is standing on guard with his towel over his shoulder making sure things are running smoothly.

We have been having a great week of beautiful weather here, today it hit 67! It's so nice to feel that warm sunshine again and see all the people outside starting up their spring projects. Jack is gone this week so it's the kids and I on our own, it's nice to be able to go outside for awhile to let the kids run. The new thing is Cassidy wants to learn to ride her bike so that is what we are going to be working on tomorrow. I'm sure there will be pictures soon of that one but hopefully there not of her on the ground.

Today was Dr. Seuss Day at Cassidy's school so she needed to wear red, white, and black. Some how she managed to last this long and wait to have her first meltdown at school today making a Cat in the Hat project. The teacher said it lasted for only a few seconds but she just got frustrated and got angry then it was over. I keep telling them all the things that she has big issues with at home and they never see them so they were surprised to see this come out of her. Unfortunately I knew exactly what they were talking about but she lasts a lot longer at home. I'm so glad she only shows the sweet side to them, I guess I will deal with the seed I planted at home.
Once Nic came home from school today and did his never ending homework we ate and ran. His school had a reading program for family's to come and let the kids read. Now we do it all again tomorrow, Tuesday's are usually the worst. Cassidy has dance and Nic has Boy Scouts that same night one after the other and an hour in between to eat. When did life get so crazy? I guess we are suppose to get 4 inches by tomorrow night, what kind of winter is this! Not sure if kids will have school tomorrow let's just keep our fingers crossed on that one.
