I know it's been awhile since my last post. I'm sure we were terribly missed. The weather has been so nice here that it's time to do the "Outside To Do List" so we have been busy.
The picture above is when we went to Ikea in Charlotte. If you never heard of it they have these huge warehouse stores in all the major cities that have everything from dishes to bedroom sets for Cheap! Ours just opened up a few weeks ago and wanted to see it so Jack, Cassidy and I went one day when Nic was in school. Fun, Fun, Fun.

Yes, it's real! Cassidy was the first one to have a swing-set accident when she fell off the "big kid" swing. The funny thing was, she hardly cried. When Jack brought Cassidy into the house, I took her to the mirror and this was the picture I got...she laughed! Nic ,on the other hand, was having a tougher time than Cassidy. Nics worst fear is seeing blood. Too bad I couldn't get a picture of him, but I guess all it would have been was Nic running away or his back turned so he wouldn't have to look. Let's hope there won't be many more incidents. Jack can't believe I posted or even took the "blood" picture, so I apologize if anyone else feels the same....but I have to keep everyone up to date with the Delia drama.

Nic wanted me to post a picture of the kids tattoos. Nic's is the Joker and Cassidy's is a butterfly. My darling son is sitting next to me telling me what to type....next thing you know he will be typing the words.
Both kids are so worried about their tattoos peeling off that they don't want us to wash the precious area. Lucky it's been warm here and the kids can wear short sleeves....Nic went to school the other day with his long sleeve pushed up so the pattern wouldn't come off. I guess we will see how long this new interest will last.

Yesterday and today were both beautiful summer days outside...I think it reached almost 80. Jack and Cassidy got a little burnt from the sun....let's hope this is the start of the season. I had one of my wonderful headaches so unfortunately, missed most of the day. Lucky for Jack, we had the swing set because that is where they spent most of the day. Tonight we had to put the kids to bed while it was still light out....Nic was wondering why....love day light savings.

I would have posted yesterday's beautiful weather here but unfortunately had no electricity until later in the day. We got 6 inches, some people said 8 but whatever it's a lot for here. I heard on the radio they haven't had snow like this in 15 years. It started Sunday night and the snow was heavy, it took out the neighborhoods electricity. Again we were reminded of the simple things in life we have when our heat was turned off...it got to 52 degrees at night in the house. Jack slept with Nic and I snuggled with Cassidy. It felt like we were outside then we had to wake up to a even colder house to get ready (or try) for the day. Of course schools were called off, people were using brooms to push the snow off the driveway. Thought it's pretty funny....lucky we kept our shovel. Now can't wait for this week it is suppose to get to the 70's by weekend. One weekend we play in the snow the next we were shorts and go for a bike ride, gotta love the South.
