I've been behind on posting pictures from when the parents and sister where here...so here is they are. We all had a great time together staying busy like usual. The weather now is colder like in the 60's so it was good for them to enjoy the 70's while they visited. I have my cousin and the family coming in today for the week so it won't be until next week for my next posting. See you then.

These are pictures of Nic's birthday party. He had a "Mad Science" party. 2 people came and did ecience experiments for all the kids at a park. It was a lot of fun, the kids really enjoyed it. I found a cake decorator to make a R2D2 cake as a surprise. It was great to see Nic smile when he opened the box....I told him it was going to be a plain sheet cake. It was a good day, I am just happy it's all over and I don't have to think about what to plan for.

It's been a while, so I figured since the family left today.. I would jump right back onto my blog and fill everyone in on the latest.

Jack's family just left this afternoon . After staying for almost two weeks, the house is empty once again. It's always great to have more people around the dinner table each night....wish it could have lasted been longer. The weather was beautiful, for the most part. While they were here, we could enjoyed sitting out on the deck. This is the best part of having a screened-in porch. It was 86 degrees when family left today. When they reached Wisconsin it was 52.....big difference! I'm sure they will miss the N.C. weather!

This is Nic's new sport for the season...T-ball. Jack and I were a little worried since last sport (football) was not a success. So far he is loving the game and having a real good time. I will have to send out a new picture with his whole outfit on looks like a real pro but this is what I had from his practice. No cuts or bruises so far just dirty pants so I'm happy.

Finally feels like it's summer here...weather is suppose to stay in the 80's for the next few weeks. Hope everyone out there is having warm days also.

Getting ready for our visitors Tuesday and Nic's birthday on Wednesday. Nic wants to bring cupcakes to school and decorate them himself so we will be posting the pictures on that one. It will be nice to have family here to help sing Happy Birthday.

>The Family went drove to Atlanta to visit my family for Easter...we had a great time. Kids had an egg hunt which. It was funny to watch all the kids run like crazy to find eggs. My cousin Jenny took Nic and I to a puppet show at the Center for Puppetry Arts, where all puppet masters go for school to learn the craft. It had all the Jim Hensen original puppets from Sesame Street as well as other famous characters. One part of the museum was a little too scary, to say the least. After entering, we had three kids running out of a room screaming and crying. It was one of those moments that you had to be there and see for yourself. I still laugh thinking about the whole situation. All in all, it was nice to be around family for a holiday. We are so lucky to have them within driving distance. Now, we just have to wait for the next family to come visit for Nic's birthday....which is Jack's parents and sister. We are all excited to have the company.

I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend. I feel like I'm a few weeks behind on all the Delia adventures. I know that I posted one too many sprinkler pictures...but I like to brag a little when we have REALLY nice weather. My best friend Liz flew here from Wisconsin with her 2 boys for the week. It was great sharing some of our sunshine with them. I always remember taking a vacation to visit my mom in Florida and leaving the Wisconsin cold. I would think how nice it was to be where the sun was and not wearing a coat. Now I can have people visit me and have them feel the same way. We enjoyed a few parks and toasted some s'mores on the fire pit...it was nice having them. Then, a few days later we headed to Atlanta GA for the week to spend Easter with my cousin Jenny and the family. Us Delia's, always on the go. I will post some Easter pictures next time I'm on.
